![]() Design-wise the DJI Action 2 is quite similar to the GoPro Hero 5 Session, but it features a premium, smart modular design. In comparison, the DJI Action 2 comes in at a feather-light 57 grams. It is waterproof to 33 feet (10m) without housing. The shutter button on the top also acts as a power-on switch and will start recording video automatically. It is, literally, a small cube that features just two buttons and one side flap that houses the USB-C port and MicroSD card slot. The Hero 5 Session is a really simple action camera. Here are the main features of the GoPro Hero 5 Session, and how it compares with the latest DJI Action 2 on each of these parameters: Design That remains a cracking camera, only lacking 4K support and voice controls, yet it’s a whole £100 cheaper.Check Amazon Price GoPro Hero 5 Session: Features However, while it is £100 cheaper than the Hero 5 Black, even better value is on offer via the still-on-sale Hero 4 Session. I also love the voice controls, and the app works beautifully for framing and playback. Its video quality is excellent, it’s waterproof and compact, and battery life is good. It clearly has limitations compared with the Hero 5 Black, but the adorable Session packs one hell of a punch for such a tiny action camera. I also found images were underexposed compared with images taken on the Hero 5 Black, and the lack of RAW support means that fixing those images won’t be quite as successful either. Still images are captured at a resolution of 10 megapixels and colours were vibrant, but lack the detail of a good smartphone camera. Just like the Hero 5 Black’s camera performance, I found the colour saturation a touch cold, and low-light performance was slightly problematic with noticeable image noise.
